     VAN ALEXANDER CULPEPPER, age 72, died at his home near Eagle Springs, Friday, May 30. He was born May 6, 1856, in Eagle Springs where he was raised. He and his sister dug the old springs there in the early days. He died of a stroke of paralysis. Survivors include his wife, Anna Eliza Culpepper (1862-1953); children, Mrs. P. P. Lewis of Quanah, Mrs. 0. E. Mann of Waco, Miss Freddia and Miss Maggie Culpepper of Eagle Springs, Ben and E. A. Culpepper, Jr. of Eagle Springs. Burial was in Eagle Springs Cemetery by Cook Undertakers..9,10
