Obituary*9 Nov 1994 Effie Marie Culpepper Smith died Tuesday, 8 Nov 1994, at 9:19 a.m. at Ascension Hospital, Gonzales. She was 60, a native of Poplarville, Miss., and a resident of Gonzales. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Joe Johnson. Burial in Galvez Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Galvez. Survived by husband, Joe D. Smith, Gonzales; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Lawrence Allen, Gonzales; a son, Thomas Leroy Smith Jr., Picayune, Miss; two stepsons, Larry Joe Smith, Monroe, and Luther Smith, Turlock, Calif; four sisters, Jeanette Trent, Little Rock, Ark., Ruth Butler, Poplarville, and Mildred Sampson and Gertrude Brooks, both of Pearl River; seven brothers, William Culpepper, Wiggins, Miss., Joe Earl Culpepper, Bogalusa, Frank, O. C., J. C. and Charles Culpepper, all of Poplarville, and Bobby Ray Culpepper, Picayune; and eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Ocon and Edith Lewis Culpepper; and an infant son. She was a member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxilary Post No. 3693.1 
Burial*10 Nov 1994 Her body was interred on 10 Nov 1994 at Galvez Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Galvez, Ascension Parish, Louisiana.1
