Biography* Obituary:
Rev. Robert Elie Culpepper, 68, of 23020 Georgia Highway 100 passed away Wednesday, November 26, 1997 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia after several weeks of declining health.
     Rev. Culpepper was born in Heard County, GA, May 14, 1929 the son of Lewis Culpepper and Beulah Runnels Culpepper. He was the husband of Annie Ruth Bell Culpepper. He was retired from Trent Tube Company where he was a packer in the Shipping Department for many years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Sardis Missionary Baptist Church. He was loved and respected by many friends and neighbors in his and other communities.
     Funeral services were conducted Friday, Nov. 28 at 2 P.M. from the Sardis Baptist Church in Carroll County with the Revs. Steve Dempsey and Darnell Teal and Jimmy Palmer officiated. One solo (Beulah Land) was rendered by Cindy Castelberry and (At The Crossing) by the Church Choir under the direction of Vera, Laney, and (Amazing Grace) was sung by the Church Choir and the Congregation which was directed by Render Loftin. Instrumentalists were Vickie McEwen at the Piano and Angie Langley at the Organ.
     Pallbearers were Rev. Rockey Culpepper, Garry Culpepper, Bobby Parmer, David Parmer, Robert Rogers, Jeremy Culpepper and Doris Williamson. Interment was in the Church Cemetery.
     Survivors were his wife, Mrs. Annie Ruth Bell Culpepper of Franklin; GA, two sisters, Mrs. Retha Merrell of Newnan, GA and Mrs. Maude White of Waverly Hall, GA, and one brother, Noah and Margurite Culpepper, three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Christine Culpepper of LaGrange, GA, Mrs. Jo Culpepper, Doraville, GA, and Mrs. Jewell Culpepper of Columbus; GA, several nieces and nephews.
     Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Ga. was in charge of arrangements.2
