Obituary*19 Sep 1997 Elvin Walker Culpepper, 76, of the 2900 block of S. Military Hwy., died 17 Sep 1997, in a Norfolk hospital. Born in Maple, N.C., he was an interior decorator. He was a member of the Rehobeth Baptist Church, Maple, N.C., and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include a daughter; a sister, Rosalie Culpepper Flora; and an aunt, Edna W. Lindsey. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. (19 Sep 1997, The Virginian-Pilot.).
