Last Rites For S. M. Culpepper Held Here May 24

Funeral services for S. M. Culpepper, about 90, who died at his home in Beaumont, Texas, Friday, were held in Winnfield Saturday, with burial in the Jerusalem Cemetery. Rev. Alwin Stokes officiated.

Mr. Culpepper resided in Winnfield for many years, until about five years ago when he and his wife moved to Beaumont. He was engaged in the grocery business until he retired.

He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Dunn, member of a pioneer Winn Parish family; two sons, Joseph of Beaumont and Charles of New Orleans, two grandchildren and two sisters of Ringgold.7
