Biography* Sidney's parents were probably Edward St. Clair and Alice, but this is speculation and has not been proven. A Sidney Culpepper appears in the SSDI with a SSN issued in NY before 1951 and with a date of death of Oct 1964. He made three trips through Ellis Island as a crew member:
a. On 28 Apr 1919, "Sidney Culpeper" (2-p) was age 30, a steward, 5' 8", and 148 lbs;
b. On 10 Nov 1919, "Sydney Culpepper" was age 31, a steward, and 5' 6" tall; and
c. On 14 Jul 1924, "Sydney Culpepper" was age 36, a Baker, 5' 9", 170 lbs., able to read, and had had 12 years service at sea.
