Biography* Mildred Lillian Culpepper Suttle, 75, of Elmhurst Lane, died
Dec. 16, 1999, in Virginia Beach. A native of Portsmouth, she was a
member of Westhaven Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Grover L. Suttle (SSDI - 21 Dec 1917 - Nov 1987) and a son, James Robert Suttle (SSDI - 7 Nov 1942 - May 1978). Survivors include a daughter, Mickey Suttle Collins of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Mary Culpepper Grimes, Vivian Culpepper Campbell and Louise Culpepper Atkins, all of Portsmouth, Helen Culpepper Varsel of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Ada Culpepper Brown of Chadsworth, Colo; two brothers, James Culpepper of Portsmouth and Robert Culpepper of Keeting, Ohio; four grandchildren, Rhonda Michelle Suttle, Dana S. Harman, Janna S. Ham and Gregory L.
Parsons; and four great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jake, Josie and Ethan. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home,
Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. W. Thomas Wood. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today. (19 Dec 1999, The Virginian-Pilot).
