Biography* Obituary:
Catherine Culpepper Hudgins, 37, of Burnside Forest, died Tuesday, March 2, 1993, at her residence. Mrs. Hudgins was a native of Elizabeth City. She was a former teacher at Kitty Hawk Elementary School and was also a real estate broker with Beach Realty. She was a member of the Outer Banks Board of Realtors and St. Andrew's by the Sea Episcopal Church. Mrs. Hudgins was the daughter of Levin B. and Jane Aydlett Culpepper of Elizabeth City and the wife of Frank W. Hudgins of the home. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Hudgins is survived by one sister, Nancy Culpepper Spruill of Nags Head; one brother, Stephen H. Culpepper of Southern Shores; one niece; and two nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's by the Sea Episcopal Church, Nags Head, by the Rev. Hilary West. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in West Lawn Cemetery, Elizabeth City, by the Rev. Hilary West and the Rev. Doug Murray. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Andrew's by the Sea Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.5
