Obituary*10 Apr 1996 Thomas Fred Culpepper, 62, of the 100 block of Snead Fairway, died 8 Apr 1996, in Norfolk. Mr. Culpepper, a native of Chesapeake, was a self-employed route salesman for Flowers Bakery. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Portsmouth. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his (second) wife, Linda F. (Cornatzer) Culpepper; a daughter, Freddie Sue Culpepper Steeves of Chesapeake; a son, Thomas V. Culpepper of Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Abbie L. Smith of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Robert A. Cornatzer of Portsmouth and Christopher T. Cornatzer of Chesapeake; a sister, Joann Culpepper Harris of Portsmouth; a brother, Shirley Culpepper of Hampton; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. U. G. Robertson. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.2
