| Biography* | Obituary: Kathryn Jean Culpepper Poindexter (b 19 May 1954), 38, of the 1400 block of Stewart St., a retired beautician, died Nov. 21, 1992, in Chesapeake. Mrs. Poindexter was born in Norfolk. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church. She was the daughter of Faye White Culpepper of Chesapeake and the late Reid W. Culpepper. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Vernon James Poindexter Sr; two sons, Michael Shawn Fitzgerald and Vernon James Poindexter Jr., both of Chesapeake; her father, Philip Fitzgerald of Luther, Mich; and three brothers, Gordon Lee Culpepper, Robert G. Culpepper and John R. Culpepper, all of Chesapeake. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Harold Bergey. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends may join the family 2201 Ardmore Ave., Chesapeake, at all other times. (23 Nov 1992, The Virginian-Pilot.). |
