However, note that Gary Aulden Culpepper's birth record shows he was born 23 May 1945, the son of Corin Aulden Conner and Norma Lee Price. Since he was given a Culpepper surname even though his father was named Conner, it seems likely that Corin Conner was killed in WW-II after Gary was conceived. Then Gary's mother, Norma, must have married a Culpepper (most likely Gerald Dean Culpepper) prior to Gary Aulden Culpepper's birth in 1945.      Norma Culpepper, 78, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Glen Rose. Burial: Fulton Cemetery, Walnut Springs. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Survivors: Daughters, Geraldine Culpepper and Ginger Lee Rogers; sons, Gary Culpepper, Joe Ray Culpepper and Jamie Dee Culpepper; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Price, Bill Price, Don Price and Ronny Price; and nieces and nephews.6

     Glen Rose, TX. Norma Lee Culpepper, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend peacefully joined our Lord and Savior on Aug. 30, 2005. Born in Cisco Feb. 10, 1927, to Paul and Thelma Price, she was the third of five children. Norma was a sweet, loving mother who loved to tell stories, laugh, dance and go to the ballgames to root and holler for her kids whether they were playing ball, an instrument in the band or twirling batons. She enjoyed all her grandkids and great grandkids and loved being around people. Born a Pentecost, she believed in God and going to church, she taught what was right from wrong, to never lie, was never rude to anyone, was very mild mannered, and always told us, "don't judge other people, everyone has their own faults."
     Norma is survived by her five children, Gary Culpepper of Pflugerville, Geraldine Culpepper of Midlothian, and Ginger Rogers, Joe Ray Culpepper and Jamie Culpepper, all of Glen Rose; their spouses; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandkids; and four brothers and their families; Paul Price, Billy J. Price and Ronnie Price all of Odessa, and Don Price of Arlington. Viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at Wiley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Daniels officiating.
