(In the name of God Amen, I Mary Culpeper of Norfolk County being very sick and weak, but in perfect sense & memory. I do make & ordain this my last Will & testament,

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Nancy Culpeper all my land that is lying in the North side of the new road on the Western Branch & if she should die without a lawful heir of her body it is my desire that my two granddaughters Courtney & Elizabeth Culpeper should have the land I give to Nancy and it is my desire that they shall not sell the said land.

I give and bequeath unto Mary Culpeper all my land on the South side of the New road, in case she should die without an heir lawful begotten of her body it is my desire that Courtney & Elizabeth Culpeper should have the said Land, but not never to sell the land.

It is my desre that all my personal Estate should be sold to pay all my just debts & the ballance to go to my daughter Nancy & if she should die without and heir it is my desdire it should go to my three Grandchildren, Mary, Courtney & Elizabeth Culpeper and it is my desire that Sion Culpeper shall never have any of my property, neither real or personal, it is my desire that if my Grandchildren should die without an heir for all that I give them to go to William Bunting son of Daniel Bunting that lives in Carolina,

I do appoint my friend John Hardy my executor to this my last Will & Testament. I witness my hand and Seal this 6th day of September eighteen hundred & twelve. Mary Culpeper (X) her mark; In witness of: Nicholas Scott, John Lyttleton, John Owens, John Pell

At a court held for Norfolk County October 19th 1812 This Will was proved by the oaths of John Lyttleton & John Pell witnesses thereto &ordered to be recorded. John Hardy the Executor therein named refused to take upon himself the [L. W. G.: do not have the next page]). 
Death*before 19 Oct 1812 She died at Norfolk Co., Virginia, before 19 Oct 1812. 
Probate*19 Oct 1812 Mary's will was probated at Norfolk Co., Virginia, on 19 Oct 1812.
