Regarding the middle name for Charles R. Thames, son of Rev. Jesse and Mary Broughton, some family members said it was Roscoe, others said Richard. From his son Willie Jackson Thames WW-I draft registration, where he spells Charlie's middle name in full, his middle name was Richard. - 1860 Federal Census, United States.
