     1. Helen Ione McPhaul, born 15 Jul ???? in Sumner, Worth Co., GA, married Samuel Jones East on 4 Jul 1921 in Dillon, SC, and she died 28 Nov 1977 in Mt. Gilead, Montgomery Co., NC. Helen and Sam East had nine children: (1) Hugh Lee East, born 12 Dec 1922 in Red Springs, Robeson Co., NC, married Mary Alice McKay 27 Dec 1943, and he died 17 Jun 1987 in Oceanside, San Diego Co., CA; (2) Lawrence Weaver East, born 11 Sep 1927, died 7 Dec 1979; (3) Julian Knox East; (4) Angus Wilton East; (5) Clara Louise East; (6) Helen Marie East; (7) Samuel Jones East, Jr., born 25 Jan 1937 and died 1 Aug 1973; (8) William Floyd East; and (9) Betty East.
     2. Evalyn Louise McPhaul, married first William Mahon, and second Eddie Milton Byrd on 14 Jun 1925. She died 12 Feb 1940 in Jacksonville, FL. Evalyn and Eddie Byrd had a daughter, Doris Elizabeth Byrd who married John Robert Epperson on 19 Jul 1946.
     3. Katie Florine McPhaul, born 26 Dec 1897, married William Jake Belger on 27 Feb 1919, and she died 15 Jul 1923 in Florida. Katie and Jake Belger had a son, William Jake Belger, Jr..3
