The following is from Sue Abadie, Feb 2002. It it not yet certain that the document mentioned pertains to this particular Miles Culpepper:

I have a paper that was in the estate papers of Nathaniel Whaley and it has a Miles Culpepper on it and it is dated 1815. It says it is from the Sheriff of Camden Co. NC. Your are herby commanded that of the goods and chattels lands and tenements of Nancy Whaley, Miles Culpeper Senr. in your bailiwick, you cause to be made the sum of eighteen pounds 17p which lately in the Court of Equity, held for the
County of Camden, at the Court House in Camden, was taxed and adjudged as the costs of a suit there brought by Nancy Whaley against Samuel Sawyer Where of the Nancy Whaley is convicted and liable as to us appears of record, besides your fees for this service: And have you the said money before our said Court of Equity, to be held at the Court-House in Camden, on the second Monday in March next, then and there to render to the said Samuel Sawyer his costs and charges aforesaid. Herein fail not , and have you then and there this writ. Witness Samuel Sawyer, Clerk and Master of our said
Court of Equity, at his Office in Camden, the 11th day of September Anno Dom. 1815 and in the 4oth year of our Independence.
