Biography* Sampson served in World War II and in the Korean War. He received the A. B. and the LL. B. degrees from Mercer University and became an Assistant U. S. District Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia.

In 1968 Sampson and family moved to Fort Valley, GA. There he entered a law partnership with George Bacon Culpepper [his seventh cousin].6
