(Book 5, p. 330, Currituck Co., NC: 23 May 1788. Henry Culpepper, Sr. to Thomas Culpepper, for £50, Culpepper’s Island, consisting of 50 acres. Witnesses: Peter Culpepper, Joshua Culpepper, Henry Culpepper).1 
1800 Census*4 Aug 1800 Joshua was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census at Currituck Co., North Carolina. Enumerated in the census but otherwise unidentified are 5 children (1 M0-10, 1 M10-16, 2 F0-10, 1 F10-16) and 9 slaves..2 
Death*after 1800 He died at Currituck Co., North Carolina, after 1800. 
Research note*13 Jun 2003 The 1800 census shows Joshua with a wife, two sons, and three daughters, but none of them have been identified. Joshua probably married around 1786, as by 1790 he had one son and one daughter. His other three children were born in the 1790's. No record has been found of Joshua and his family after 1800.
