Biography* Samuel S. Beall and his wife Isabella Hart Beall are both buried in the Duhart Bapt. Ch. Cemetery in Jefferson County GA. This Samuel Beall & his Wife Isabella Hart are mentioned in the Last Will and testament of her father Samuel Hart of Glasscock County GA Jan. 1886. Samuel & Isabella married about 1858 and are seen in the 1860 census of Jefferson Co. GA with a 1 yr. old daughter. Samuel S. Beall served in C. Co. 20th Regmt. Georgia Vol. Inf. of the Army of Northern Virginia (The Jefferson Guards of Jefferson Co. GA). He entered service on June 14, 1861 and served for the duration, getting out after Lee surrendered at Appomattox, Va. Apr. 9, 1865. He was an Infantry Private and was wounded (date and place not given). The 20th Regmt. was involved in 24 battles (some major) including 2nd Bull Run (Manassas), Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Chickamauga, Seiges of Chattanooga & Knoxville, The Wilderness etc. etc.2
