Charles Sterling of Georgia1
Male, #45955, (say 1766 - )
| Birth* | say 1766 | He was born say 1766 at Scotland.2 |
| Research note* | | The first name of this Mr. Sterling is unproven and his ancestry unknown. If you better identify him, his parents, his siblings, or his wife, please contact Warren Culpepper.3 |
| Research note | 20 Feb 2008 | I believe I might have some information about the missing Sterling. My ancestor John Sterling came from Glasgow Scotland with three brothers on a ship called the Two Sisters in the early/mid 1700s. The ship docked in Boston and my ancestor along with one brother left Boston and settled in Eastern Canada (Then called Lower Canada) The other two brothers settled in North Carolina and Georgia and were never heard from. Perhaps one of these brothers is your missing relative. If it is the brother that settled in Georgia, his first name was Charles. These brothers are from the Clan Sterling in Central Scotland and members of the family are on the Council of Scotish Chieftans still today. Other members of the family such as myself reside in Eastern Canada.4 |
