According to Monica Foggin, but otherwise unproved: "Martin Sims' parents were Joel and Christian Sims. Joel died July 1801 in Oglethorpe Co, GA. Sister of Martin was Susannah (born abt 1779 - 84) who married Samuel Whitehead (born 1760 - 70). They had 10 children in Oglethorpe."
