Obituary*19 Jun 2006 Funeral services for Jesse Efford Culpepper, 82, of Valdosta, were held Tuesday, June 20, in the Forest Street Church of God with the Revs. Wayne Hughes and Harold McLeod officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta.
     Mr. Culpepper died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Echols County and was retired from Dowling Bag Company. He attended the Forest Street Church of God. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernistine Culpepper.
     Survivors include his wife, Leota Culpepper; three daughters, Patsy McEachin of Hazelhurst, Faye Fletcher of Bainbridge and Brenda Carmack of Quitman; a stepdaughter, Kathy Reese of Valdosta; a stepson, Danny Sistrunk, also of Valdosta; four grandchildren and other relatives.

Jesse Efford Culpepper, 82, of Valdosta, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Echols County on February 6, 1924 to the late Jesse and Beulah Peterson Culpepper. Mr. Culpepper was retired from Dowling Bag Company and attended Forest Street Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Leota Culpepper of Valdosta, three daughters and sons in law, Patsy and C. E. McEachin of Hazelhurst, Faye and Craig Fletcher of Bainbridge, Brenda and Joe Carmack of Quitman, one step daughter and step son in law, Kathy and Doug Reese, one step son and step daughter in law, Danny and Sue Sistrunk of Valdosta, three granddaughters and their husbands, Stephanie and Jerald Mock, Tammy and Derek Banaitis, Jessica and James Lanier, one grandson and his wife, Chris and Teresa McEachin, nine great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, one step great great grandchild. Mr. Culpepper is preceded in death by his first wife, Bernistine Culpepper, four sisters, two brothers, and a special nephew, Douglas Harrell.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at eleven a. m. in the Forest Street Church of God with Reverend Wayne Hughes and Reverend Harold McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. He will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m.
