| Biography* | | Obituary: Mrs. Ida Culberson Culpepper died Saturday 8:10 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Janie Quimby. She was born in Louisiana, 12 Sep 1878. She was married to W. H. Culpepper on 7 Nov 1895. She had been confined to her bed almost nine months and bore her suffering without complaining. When she knew the end was near she thought of each one of her family. She was grateful for the small kindness shown her. She was a wonderful wife, mother and a good neighbor. Her body was laid to rest in the Red Rock Cemetery Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The flowers were many and beautifu.l She is survived by her husband, ten children, and thirteen grandchildren. The children are Mrs. Ed Walker, Mrs. Emma Brewer, Mrs. Janie Quimby, Lockhart: Mrs. Afton Voigt, Oneil Culpepper, Red Rock; Mrs. Henry Pollock. Dean Culpepper, Hebbronville: Mrs. Marvin Baker, Austin: Reuben, Paul Culpepper, Lytton Springs; three half-brothers, Billie and Granville Newell, Robstown; Dean Newell, Childress and one half sister, Mrs. Will Bluhm.7 |
