| Obituary* | Julia C. Pollock, 82, of 3382 Parkcrest, died Saturday at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Funeral Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South, with Rev. Jerry Paulding officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Pollock was born February 22, 1908 in Red Rock Texas. She grew up and attended school in Litton Springs. She married Henry A. "Red" Pollock in Litton Springs on January 28, 1926 and moved from Alice to Abilene in 1948. A homemaker, she was a member of the South Side Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. A. "Red" Pollock. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Wanda Pollock of Abilene; two grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pollock of Abilene and Mr. and Mrs. Lee (Laura) Henson of Arlington: two great grandchildren, Lexi Henson of Arlington and Liz Henson of Arlington; three brothers, Dean Culpepper of Goliad, Paul Culpepper of Lockhart, and O'Neal Culpepper of California; three sisters, Emma Lovell of Lockhart, Sally Baker of Austin, and Janie Terrell of Baytown. Pallberers will be Jim Abbott, Bob Kimbrough, Knolie Fenner, John Barbee, Kenneth Whisenant, and Taylor Davis. |
