(Will made February 28, 1818, Probated September 1819 Cumberland Co. NC. Names Hannah Thames, wife, as widow of Needham Gause (son Bryant Gause). He states in Will "If either Elizabeth McAlester or John Thames Gilmore (grandson) dies without issue then to brother William Thames' children: David Thames, Cornelius Thames, William Thames, James Thames, Ann Wiggins, Martha Cooper & Lucy Newberry". Elizabeth McAlester is his daughter; Stephen Gilmore was the husband of daughter Mary (Molly) Thames Gilmore, deceased.).3
