Previous to death, William Thames called in Joseph Thames & Joseph Cain, sons William & James, "We the underwritten subscribers the first of kin and sole heirs of William Thames dec'd do hereby relinquish our right of adm on the estate of our father unto our brother David Thames." Jan 20, 1813. Stephen Wiggins, James Newberry, William Thames, Jonathan Coore, Correch Thames. Wit: Chas McAllester, Jas. Thames. When the Reverend William Thames died, he had an abundance of "Worldly Goods". The administrators of his estate David Thames (son), Joseph Thames (his brother) and Charles McAllester (Joseph's son-in-law) were required to post a bond of 1000 pounds, current money to the Cumberland Co. NC Court. This Administrators Bond was executed on 1 March 1813. .2 |
