Biography* LaMerle McCoy Culpepper
Died 14 Jan 1999, in a local hospital. Mrs. Culpepper, a native of West Point, had lived in Macon since 1974 moving here from Columbus. She was the daughter of the late Mason Paul McCoy and Mattie B. Collum McCoy and was the widow of H. Aubrey Culpepper. Mrs. Culpepper was a graduate of Lanette High School in Alabama and was former owner and operator of Red Barn Furniture Store in Columbus. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where she taught in the Sunday School. Survivors: son, Hayward Culpepper of Fort Walton, Fla; three sisters, Mavis Muncus and Faye Crowder, both of Macon, and Lillian Taylor of Athens, Ala; two grandsons, Matt Culpepper and Bryan Culpepper, both of Fort Walton, Fla; one great-grandson, Kyle Culpepper of Fort Walton, Fla; several nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, with burial in Park Hill Cemetery, 3 p.m., Columbus. Rev. Gene Crowder will officiate. Family will be at: residence of Rev. and Mrs. Gene Crowder, 3055 Walden Road, Macon 31216. Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight in Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. In lieu: yes. Lakeview Baptist Church, 7065 Mosely-Dixon Road, Macon 31220. Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, has charge of arrangements.
