Research note*31 May 2004 The ancestry of James is unproven. His only definitive records are the the 1850 and 1860 censuses of Warren Co., GA. As he has not been found after 1860, it is quite possible that he died in the Civil War. He has been assigned as the possible son of James and Amelia Darden due to their presence in the same county, the lack of any other known possibilities, and the fact that James and Amelia in 1830 had in their household 2 males age 0-5 who have otherwise not been accounted for.
