Research note*22 May 2004 That this Robert was the son of Joseph is based on the assumption that this was the same Robert Culpepper found in the 1799 Personal Property Tax Digest for Norfolk Co., who was listed there as "Robert, son Joseph."

Other than his appearance in the 1810 census of Portsmouth, Norfolk Co., VA, nothing is known about this Robert Culpepper.
