Lucinda died 22 July 1896 at Brooken, OK. John W. died 18 Dec. 1887. They moved to Lousiana before the Civil War. John was a Doctor in the Civil War after which they moved to Blackford, Arkansas. I don't know when they moved to Oklahoma, but my grandmother was born in Waldron, Arkansas in 1872.

Reunion*9 Jul 2006 A reunion has been held annually for over 50 years for the descendants of: (1) Samuel Huston Culpepper, including the Henry B. and William N. Culpepper families, and (2) Lucinda Council Culpepper and John Wesly Walker. Any Culpepper descendent wishing to come is welcome! For many years it was held at the Coleman Park and was moved to the National Guard Armory, Santa Anna, Coleman Co., TX., for the comfort of some of our ill family members. It was moved back to Coleman Park for the reunion on July 10, 2005. It will continue to be held on the second Sunday of July each year until further notice.
Directions: Coming in from Abilene, TX on Hwy 84 to Coleman, TX. The park is on the left side just before you enter Coleman, TX. (Northwest side of Coleman, TX)
Facilities: Coleman's City Park, located on the scenic banks of Hord's Creek, offers picnic facilities under majestic shade trees, a western museum, tennis courts, a recreation center with Olympic-size swimming pool and playground equipment.
Comments: Each family brings what they wish to add to the table to eat. We have all the way from lots of good old home cooking to fast chicken from the Deli. Dress cool and casual, shorts etc. I'm sure we will still find a place for a Horse Shoe Game or two. Many families stay at the Best Western in Coleman, TX., which is approximately one mile from the park. For more information, contact Pat Culpepper Roberts.7
