| Biography* | Obituary: WEST MONROE. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe for Mrs. JoAnn Marie (LeBlanc) Culpepper, 63, of West Monroe who died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at her residence in West Monroe. The Rev. Gordon (Skip) Dean and Dale Derbonne Robinson will be officiating. Mrs. Culpepper was born Jan. 18, 1941, in Lafayette and had been a resident of West Monroe for three years. She was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in West Monroe. Mrs. Culpepper enjoyed traveling and working in her yard. Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Bobby Culpepper, and sweet companion, 'Beau'; two sons, Brent Deshotels and his wife, Tammy, of Baton Rouge, and David Deshotels and his wife, Sheryl, of Lafayette; two stepsons, David Culpepper and his wife, Judy, of Abita Springs, and Steve Culpepper and his wife, Katie, of Woodbury, Conn; one brother, Mike LeBlanc and his wife, Bonnie, of Lafayette; one sister, Janelle Mabie and her husband, Gary, of Houston; and nine grandchildren, Tina Deshotels, Alissa Deshotels, Britteny Deshotels, Ashley Deshotels, Morgan Deshotels, Leigh Deshotels (sic) (actually, Leigh Culpepper), John Culpepper, David Culpepper and William Culpepper. Her parents, Jeanne Marie and Edward H. 'Zip' LeBlanc, preceded her in death. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Hastings, Randy Bardwell, Nick DeCorte, John Culpepper, Francis Broussard, Lance LeBlanc and Ross Mabie. Visitation will be observed from 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Highland Baptist Church, 1509 Arkansas Road, West Monroe, LA 71291. Her family would like to offer a special thank you to Susanne Hatton and Todd Hilton from Hospice for their excellent care and loving attention and to Dr. Ray Rhymes Jr. and family.
