Birth*circa 1836 He was born circa 1836 at Jackson Co., Georgia. 
 He was the son of Henry Culpepper of Lauderdale Co., MS and Nancy Martin. 
Research note*3 Oct 2004 Joel is listed in the household of Henry Culpepper in 1860, but not in 1850, and we currently have no further information on him other than this one 1860 census listing. He is listed as age 23, two years younger than Jonathan, who is listed as age 25. Any help with this Joel will be appreciated by Lew Griffin.1
