Biography* Obituary:
Thelma Zeigler Culpepper‚ 77, of Valdosta, passed away early Wednesday morning March 29, 2006, at Langdale Place. She was born in Atkinson County on Feb. 10, 1929. Mrs. Culpepper lived in Stockton for many years before moving to Valdosta, where she has lived for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Forrest Street Church of God and was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Zeigler and Ivey S. Culpepper, parents, and brother, Carroll Higgs Sr.
     Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Herman and Carol Culpepper of Montgomery, Alabama, Rudolph and Linda Culpepper of Augusta, Georgia, Danny and Jo Culpepper, Valdosta, and a number of nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, in Forrest Street Church of God with the Rev. Wayne Hughes, the Rev. Harold McLeod and the Rev. Keith Sandlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County. Mrs. Culpepper will lie in state one hour prior to services.
