We came to Washington, DC in 74 so 'Stump', as he was known, could work on his Masters at American U. He served in Vietnam, awarded many medals, quarterbacked the Marine football team in Japan when they won the FarEastern Championship. He quarterbacked the GMC football team and the Tennessee Wesleyan Team in Athens. He was everything an All American guy is supposed to be, forever remembered as a stand up guy, a competitor who always did his homework."5 |
