| Obituary* | 18 Jul 2005 | FLORENCE - William B. Culpeper, 76, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at his residence. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9, in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home with interment following in Florence Memorial Gardens. Mr. Culpeper was born in Darlington County, son of Walter Lee and Tedie Gainey Culpeper. He served his country with the United States Army and was an auto mechanic. Mr. Culpeper enjoyed people and never met a stranger. He was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary K. Culpeper; four sons, William (Terri) Culpeper Jr., Gregory Culpeper, William Joseph Culpeper and Richard Culpeper; four daughters, Patricia C. Sturgeon, Susan C. Reed , Barbara C. Wilson and Lori Culpeper; grandchildren, Tanisha, Tra Lynn, McIver, Dale, Pete, Jennifer, Gregory Jr., Brittany, LesLee, Amy, Eric, Danny and Gene; six great-grandchildren, William, Bryan, Owen, Hannah, R.J. and Abby; one brother, Charles Culpeper; and four sisters, Audrey Rothman, Hazel Byrd, Betty Ann Wallace and Glenda Blount. Memorials may be made to Community Free Will Baptist Church, 108 Clark Rd., Florence, SC 29501.2 |
