Civil War*between 1861 and 1863 He served in the War Between the States between 1861 and 1863
(Daniel R. was a private in co. A, 61st VA Regiment (Jackson Greys), which saw action at Chncellorsville, Gettysburg, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, The Crater and other battles. Daniel died from wounds in the U. S. Ford Hospital in 1863. A conflicting account (from Alice Doak) states that Daniel died at Gordonsville, Orange Co., Va. on 5 Oct. 1862.). 
Death*1863 He died in 1863.
