Obituary*1 Aug 2009 Patricia Broyles Williams Culpepper passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief battle with lung cancer on July 27, 2009.
     She was born in Abilene, TX in 1935 to Ovella and Dodson Broyles. Soon after, the new family moved to Houston, where Dodson worked for the Houston Chronicle for 40 years & Ovella began her career as a Registered Nurse for Foley's Department Store. Patricia graduated from Lamar High School and attended the University of Houston where she met Joe Rowland Williams and married in 1956.
     She is survived by her two children, Lisa Rolanda Hudgins, Drake Dodson Williams and two grandchildren, Tyler & Sarah Williams
     Patricia worked for the General Electric Company for 13 years as an executive secretary. In 1984 Patricia married Russell Culpepper, an independent insurance agent and moved to the Gulf Coast town of Sargent, TX where they enjoyed traveling, fishing & football. After Russell's passing in 1992, Patricia and her Mother retired to the lovely community of CountryPlace.
     A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Sunday, August 2 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm at the Lake View Lodge in CountryPlace, 3119 Flowerfield Lane, Pearland, TX. 77584. In lieu of flowers, she wished that donations go to CountryPlace Foundation, Inc.2
