Biography* Obituary:
FORSYTH - Emmie Culpepper Atkinson died Thursday, December 7, 2006. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 9, 2006 in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Dr. H. Darrell Watson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2006 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
     Mrs. Atkinson was born in Monroe County on February 12, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Claud Gray Culpepper and Nollie Clyde Ogletree Culpepper. Her son, John "Johnny V" Fuller Atkinson, III preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
     Survivors include her son, Jimmy Atkinson of Forsyth; brother, Carlton Culpepper of Forsyth; and three grandchildren.
     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to donors favorite charity or church. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.1
