Obituary*8 Apr 2008 John Wade Culpepper, 83, went to be with our Lord Monday, April 7, 2008 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland. Visitation is 5-8pm today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 1:30pm Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
     Mr. Culpepper was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., having served in WWII and he retired from Baggett Steel Erection Co. He served as a minister for over thirty-eight years and pastored several churches including Wake Forrest Pentecostal Church in Thomastown in the 1950's and Plain Pentecostal Church in Richland. At the time of his death he was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Richland where he has served as a Sunday School teacher and youth minister. Mr. Culpepper was a very loving, caring and kind-hearted person. Over his life-time he reached out to many people in need and will be missed by all who knew him.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Dewey Culpepper and Edna Mae Frazier Culpepper, and brother, James Norris Culpepper.
     Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Hiltara Lacey Culpepper of Richland; daughter Dorinda Holeman and husband Timothy (Bo) of Brandon; and grandsons Dexter Edward Holeman and wife Megan and Derek Wade Holeman and wife Jessica.
     Memorials may be made to First United Pentecostal Church, 122 McBride St., Richland, MS 39218.1 
Burial*9 Apr 2008 His body was interred on 9 Apr 2008 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport, Harrison Co., Mississippi.1
