Biography* Obituary:
Funeral services for Miss Mary E. Culpepper, 86, of North Augusta, S.C., who entered into rest August 31, 2007, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry T. Matthews officiating. Interment in Westover Memorial Park. Miss Culpepper was a native of Augusta having made North Augusta her home for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Miss Culpepper was a retired Civil Service Employee of Fort Gordon, a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, and retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Golden Glow Chapter #76, the Daughters of the American Revolution Martintown Road Chapter, the United Daughters of the Confederacy Berry Benson Chapter #2084, the Jesse C. Lynch American Legion Post #71, and the Jessamine Garden Club. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 to 7. Memorials may be made to the Tamassee DAR School, P.O. Box 8, Tamassee, S.C. 29686. Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home of North Augusta in charge of arrangements (803-278-1181).2
