Birth*circa 1820 Ambrose was born at Tennessee circa 1820. 
 He was the son of Thomas Lankford and Keziah Blackwell. 
Marriage*before 5 Mar 1845 He married Mary Ann Culpepper at Tennessee before 5 Mar 1845. The couple was married at the time of a March 5 1845 Ash letter. This letter has not been located; nor has any other record of the marriage. This couple was said by someone unknown, to have had three children: Allen F., born 1851 in Texas, and DeKalb, born 1860 in Missouri. This sounds like information from a census record, but this writer has not been able to locate this couple in any census after the 1850 DeKalb Co., Alabama census..1,2
