Birth*22 Apr 1790 Jacob was born at Orangeburg District, South Carolina, on 22 Apr 1790. 
 He was the son of John Tyler
War of 1812*between 1813 and 1814 He served in the War of 1812 between 1813 and 1814
(Served under John Gray and Col. Evans at Waderolds? Point, SC.).2 
Marriage*12 Feb 1823 He married Cynthia Mullins at Abbeville District, South Carolina, on 12 Feb 1823. 
Death*9 Jun 1873 He died at Riddles Mill, Talladega Co., Alabama, on 9 Jun 1873.1 
Biography* In his War of 1812 Pension Application, Jacob says he was married in Abbeville Dist., SC. He doesn't know the date. He was in Fort Johnson in SC for a portion of his service. He served under John Gray and Col. Evans at Waderolds? Point, SC. July of 1812.
Jacob's widow, Cynthia, also applied for a pension, on April 30, 1885. She stated that she was age 83, and lived in Talladega Co., AL. She said that she was married February 2, 1823, in Pendleton District, SC, by John Reid, Justice of the Peace. She gives her husband's date and place of death, and his description: black hair, blue eyes, and about five feet, five inches tall.
Cynthia says her husband was at Lexington, SC. when he signed up for 3 months service in 1812. He was honorably discharged at Charleston or ______? She had two witness, Elijah A. Cowan? of Talladega, and Richard F. Wade, knew her for 50 yrs.
