 He was the son of Robert Culpepper Jr. of Lower Norfolk Co., VA and Dorcas (?)
Death*circa 1782 He died at Norfolk Co., Virginia, circa 1782. 
Probate*Dec 1794 Benjamin's will was probated at Norfolk Co., Virginia, in Dec 1794.1,2 
Biography* 10 Jun 1768 -- Norfolk Tithables, Western Branch Precinct, Joseph and Benjamin Culpepper (same household). This is the first appearance of both Joseph and Benjamin in the tithe records, and so they must both have just turned aged 16, and must have been twins. 1780 -- Norfolk Tithables, South Side of the Western Branch from Portsmouth to Hall's Mill, "John Culpepper, Joseph Culpepper, and Benjamin Culpepper," (three households), each with one tithe. Benjamin was now about 28 years old, and this is the last reference to him in Norfolk Tithe records.
In Oct 1793, an appraisement of Benjamin's estate was ordered, and it was recorded in Dec 1794.

Research note*26 Apr 2004 Benjamin is a known son of Robert Culpepper Jr., based on tithable records. He does not show up in Norfolk tax records during 1791 - 1794, and is presumed to have died much earlier.
