Obituary*18 Aug 2008 COLUMBUS, GA--Edward C. Culpepper 88, of Columbus died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening, August 18, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Culpepper was born November 11, 1919 in Henry County, AL to the late Curtis and Clara Culpepper. He was a Freewill Baptist by faith and retired from Birdsey Super Market as a meat cutter after 34 years of service. Survivors include his loving wife, Lucy Culpepper of Columbus, GA; one son, Roy Culpepper and his wife, Kathryn of Smith Station, AL; one daughter, Patsy Redmond and her husband, George of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren, Kimberly Love and her husband, Jeff of Marietta, GA, Karen Haggerty and her husband, Steve of Melbourne, FL, Clara Culpepper of Atlanta, GA, and Ward Culpepper of Smith Station, AL; three great grandchildren, Josh and Jordan Love both of Marietta, GA, and Jack Haggerty of Melbourne, FL; two brothers, Marvin Culpepper of Abbeville, AL, and Clarence Culpepper of Eufaula, AL.
