Birth*circa 1805 Phoebe was born at Virginia circa 1805. 
 She was the daughter of James Henry Culpepper and Julia (?). 
1810 Census6 Aug 1810 Phoebe, Martha and Mariah was probably a free white female under 10 years of age, in James Henry Culpepper's household on the 1810 Census at Princess Anne Co., Virginia.2 
Marriage*1828 She married Thomas Poindexter at Hopkinsville, Christian Co., Kentucky, in 1828. 
Married Name1828  As of 1828, her married name was Poindexter. 
Death*1858 She died at Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., Indiana, in 1858. 
Biography* Phoebe's ancestry is currently unknown, but she was probably related to James H. Culpepper of KY, who later moved to Henry Co., TN, as did Phoebe and her husband. Any help with Phoebe's ancestry will be appreciated. Kay Poindexter Arterburn (rossa@aye.net) is currently (1999) researching this line.
