| Biography* | Obituary: COLUMBUS, GA - Stanford Wilson Culpepper, age 86, of Columbus, died Monday, April 12, at his residence. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. today, April 14 at Waverly Hall City Cemetery in Waverly Hall, Ga., according to Smith-Steele-Meadows Funeral Home, Manchester, Ga. Mr. Culpepper was born April 19, 1917 in Ashville, Ala., a son of the late Frank M. Culpepper and Rosa Elma Tyler Culpepper. He was a former long time resident of the Waverly Hall area and was a retired machinist. He was a member of Waverly Hall Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judy Culpepper of Columbus; two daughters, Geraldine Elizabeth "Beth" Lassiter and her husband, Bobby of Columbus and Sylvia Ann Culpepper of Kansas City, Kan; a son, Jimmy Culpepper of Columbus; five grandchildren, Jerry Lassiter, Cyndi Thornton, Mike Lassiter, Kim Dunn and Clint Culpepper; and five great grandchildren.1 |
