Obituary*22 Oct 1998 PASS CHRISTIAN -- Mr. John Joseph Culpepper, 69, of Pass Christian, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, in Gulfport. Mr. Culpepper was a native of Oak Grove, Louisiana, and a resident of the Coast for over 50 years. He was a commercial fisherman. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Suzette Culpepper. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Alma and Paul Liles and Jacqueline and Ai Vo, all of Biloxi, and Mollie and Mohammed Hanif Khan of New York, New York; his ex-wife, Margie Bell Culpepper of Long Beach; and seven grandchildren. A closed memorial prayer service will be held Friday morning for family members and grandchildren at Gulf Coast Seventh-Day-Adventist Church in Woolmarket. Mr. Culpepper will be lovingly missed by his daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society, 182-A DeBuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531. Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.4
