DNA* From DNA and genealogical evidence we conclude that George Washington Culpepper IV is a descendant of Thomas Culpepper, who is a son of Henry Culpepper, Jr. and grandson Henry Culpepper of Lower Norfolk, VA. 
Birth*20 Aug 1904 George was born at Norfolk Co., Virginia, on 20 Aug 1904. 
 He was the son of George Washington Culpepper III and Mary Virginia Spence. 
Marriage*circa 1927 He married Emma Margaret Gould circa 1927.

Death*28 Oct 1994 He died at Williamsburg (city), Virginia, on 28 Oct 1994.3 
Biography* Obituary:
Mr. George W. Culpepper, Sr. age 90, died Friday, October 28, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mr. Culpepper was born and raised in Deep Creek, Va., and was a former resident of Williamsburg, Va., for 34 years before moving back to Portsmouth to live with his granddaughter. Mr. Culpepper was a Baptist. Survived by his sons, Linwood L. Culpepper of Houston, Tx., George W. Culpepper, Jr. of Nevno, Ca., and Wayne C. Culpepper of Brighton, Co; his sisters, Sophie House of Portsmouth, Va., and Margaret Mountcastle of Va. Beach, Va; a brother, James Culpepper of Smithfield, Va; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 1994, at 2 p.m. in Williamsburg Memorial Park, Williamsburg, Va. The family will be at the home of his granddaughter, Robin Redditt, 3409 Cantebury Dr., Portsmouth, Va. Bucktrout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.4
