Biography* Dennis Leroy Culpepper Sr., 80, died March 5, 1998, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Culpepper was a native of Hickory, Va., and was a son of the late Dennis Elisha and Lillie Lavina Deal Culpepper. He was an Army veteran and was retired from Franklin Equipment Co. Mr. Culpepper was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, Franklin Moose Lodge 1573 and American Legion Post 73. He is survived by his wife, Olie Mae Bailey Culpepper; a daughter,
Catherine Jane Capps of Manassas, Va; two sons, Dennis Culpepper Jr. of Denver, Colo., Wayne Culpepper of Elizabeth City, N.C; a stepson, Bob Holland of Portsmouth; a sister, Elsie Gaskins of Virginia Beach; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Edward Johnson and the Rev. James Smith. Burial will be at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the residence at 128 Country Club Road and suggests that memorial donations may be made to High Street United Methodist Church, 301 W.
