| Biography* | | The will of Phillip Lancaster dated 15 Nov 1692 in St. Michael, "Allein Culpepper Jr." was a witness. As presumably Alleyne was at least 16 at this time, his birth must have been prior to 1677. However, note that his parents were married on 4 Mar 1676. In a will dated 27 Dec 1705 in St. Philip, Alleyne Culpeper wintessed the will of Nathaniel Webb . In a will dated 19 Aug 1709 in St. Philip and proved 18 Dec 1709, Capt. John Brathwaite named: "friends John Rous and Capt. Allen Culpeper - Overseers". The were also named guardians, and one of the witnesses was Francis Culpeper. It's not clear which Francis this was, as Alleyne had both a brother and an uncle named Francis who were living at this time. In a will dated 25 Aug 1719 in St. Philip and proved 26 Sep 1724, William Hidden left his son John Hidden 4 acres belwo the broad path joing the lands of Lt. Col. Alleyne Culpeper. |
