Steede of Harrison [Harrietsham], co. Kent, gent.' His wife was a daughter by her first marriage of Joan Pordage, the second wife of his brother Francis of Greenway Court, thus celebrating the first of several Culpeper-Stede marriages. He is not named in Francis' will (1590), but appears in that of his wife's mother (1594) as 'my son Richard Colepepyr' This is the last record of him alive, (Both his mother's and father's wills may be found in the Archive section of Culpepper Connections) - Fairfax Harrison. |
